BETTESHANGER COUNTRY PARK
This 250-acre country park provides fantastic family entertainment for all ages. A unique cycling centre provides bike hire and access to
tracks and trails for the keenest of cyclists, with mountain-bike tracks for the most adventurous.
There is also has an outdoor play area with many different swings and slides and a lovely café offering refreshments.
GOLF
Royal St George's in Sandwich is one of the world's greatest golf courses. Having hosted Opens, PGA and Amateur Championships and Walker and
Curtis Cups, it has witnessed more golfing history than any other in England.
There is also Princes Golf Club in Sandwich, and courses in Canterbury, Barham and Kingsdown, all within 30 mins of Knowlton.
WALKING
There are excellent walking trails and paths across the region; the South Foreland Lighthouse Walk heads over the world-famous
White Cliffs of Dover, revealing spectacular views en route.
QUEX PARK
Quex Park occupies nearly 2000 acres near Margate (30mins). As well as fascinating museums, the park offers an
outdoor play centre
(and an indoor one for rainy days), a craft village,
a garden Nursery,
carriages, paintball, Build-a-base,
Lazer Rush and, in the summer,
a giant Maize Maze.
